THE REASONS FOR PRAYER

WHY DO WE PRAY

First of all, what is prayer?
It's the WAY we communicate or fellowship with our creator. More like a path through which we convey our message to God. This demands our attention and emotions. Sometimes prayers can lead to meditation (vice-versa).

Prayer is the primary way of creating anything in our dimensional world.

Jesus himself said in Luke 18:1 - Men should always pray and not Faint.

Prayer make it consistent for God to do what he will otherwise not do, had we not prayed. For example, God being gracious to a sinner and even get them saved because we prayed.

Prayer is a very powerful tool in our everyday life, we cannot afford to live without it.

You can start by saying this short prayer:
I pray for lost souls around the world, that the message of salvation will shine through their hearts, as they receive and embrace the righteousness of Christ in the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Now affirm this:
I make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and I give thanks, for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that "we" may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1Timothy 2:1-4

I make up the hedge, and stand in the gap for the land before the Lord, that He should not destroy it. Ezekiel 22:30
